Our Staff

We choose all our staff very carefully and most of them are personally known by us before they start work. This helps us to ensure their quality and all our staff have an up to date DBS which is a requirement of working with us. This check provides reassurance that people haven’t been reported to or recorded by the police in the UK. It is a legal requirement and all our staff have one that is up to date – no exceptions!

First Aid & Medical

Of course sometimes students (or staff) get ill or injured. To ensure they get the best care possible we will always have at least two members of staff on site who are first aid trained. If a doctor is required the closest hospital is just five minutes away and they are away when we have students at the school. For further reassurance we have a nurse on site every morning between 9 and 11 and he or she can be seen without an appointment.

There is 24 hour security on site provided by the school and these can be contacted in an emergency. All our staff are residential and live in the same houses as the students – this means that there is a memberof staff on call at all times. All accommodation buildings are locked and accessible only by key or card. Everyone is also provided with a 24 hour emergency number which will be answered by a senior member of staff.
